Andros Constantinou was born in Famagusta, Cyprus.
He studied at the Cyprus College of Art under Stass Paraskos, Andros Efstathiou, Phil Bird and Anna Georgiou and has taken part in numerous group exhibitions.
Artist’s statement
When I work, I try to soulfully immerse myself in the process devoid of any ideas, conceptual or otherwise, as I feel ideas tend to obstruct what is there to subconsciously be tapped into and unearthed.
Sometimes predetermined ideas can dictate the outcome by not allowing what was to be, like they were 'pencilled in'. Instead, I've learnt that by just trusting this process and allowing and responding to what is happening, the (work) will surface and reveal itself...
