JOANNA PRICE
“Small dogfight”

Joanna Price (1956–2014) was an Irish-born painter (born in Wexford) who lived and worked in Paris and New York before settling in London. She studied at City and Guilds of London Art School (1979–82) and attended the New York Studio School (1982–83) on scholarship. In 1990 she won the Coopers Lybrand Deloitte Prize for the Outstanding Painting at the Whitechapel Open, and later received the Jerwood Drawing Prize (1997).
