Lord Michael Marks (1920–1998), 2nd Baron Marks of Broughton, was the grandson of Michael Marks, the co-founder of Marks & Spencer, and the son of Simon Marks, 1st Baron Marks of Broughton.

After serving in World War II (signals/transmissions), he studied languages at Cambridge and went on to work as a painter, writer, and philanthropist. He inherited the title in 1964 and is particularly remembered for his cultural and charitable interests, including the legacy associated with the Michael Marks Charitable Trust.
