FRIXOS PAPANTONIOU (born 1 June 1951, Famagusta, Cyprus) is a Cyprus-born painter and printmaker, based in London/East London, who maintains close ties with Cyprus and exhibits there regularly. He studied Fine Art at Kingston University (1976–1979) and continued his training at the Institute of Education, University of London (1981–1982).
In printmaking, he is especially associated with linocut, combining traditional cutting techniques with textured, “etched” surfaces, and he has exhibited in solo and group shows in the UK, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, and the USA.
