Greek artist Yiannis Migadis was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1926. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1945-51) under Constantinos Parthenis.
He was one of the last important painters of the “30’s Generation” who developed his own unique style.
He exhibited his paintings in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and had 2 retrospective exhibitions in Syros and the Benaki Museum in Athens.
Migadis won many awards including the Academy of Athens award for his overall contribution to art.
