Notes

Double folio map of Cyprus with decorative cartouche with the title on an ox-hide, a scale cartouche featuring the Lusignan coat of arms and a depiction of the architrave of the Cornaro Palace in Venice with more armorials.

Even though the island of Cyprus no longer belonged to the Venetians as it was lost to the Turks in 1571 which was over 100 years before this map was printed for the first time, the map highlights the historical past of the island.
