Salvador Dali is the most renowned surrealist master. His artistic repertoire included sculpture, painting, photography, multimedia work, and films.
He was born in 1904 in Spain and died in 1989. He was very controversial and became very well known during his lifetime for his provoking work and intriguing personality.
Today there are two major museums devoted to his work: The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, Spain and the Salvador Dalí Museum in Florida.
