Notes

Baptistin POUJOULAT was a French historian. He was the younger brother of Jean-Joseph-François Poujoulat (collaborator of Joseph-François Michaud) who sent him to the Orient in 1836 to seek new details on the crusades.

A trip to Asia Minor in Mesopotamia, Palmyra, Syria, Palestine and Egypt brings together the letters he sent to Michaud and his brother.
