Vasilios Germenis was born in Fiscardo, Cephalonia in 1896.
He first studied at the School of Art, Corfu under S. Platsaio.
In 1915 he went to Athens and studied law and simultaneously studied art under Georgios Roilos, Georgios Jakobides and Spyros Vikatos, whilst studying sculpture under Thomas Thomopoulos.
Vasilios Germenis was a painter, sculptor and etcher.
His work can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of Greece. He won a number of awards and distinctions.
